World Wide Sky

The series „World Wide Sky“ by artist Dogan Dogan, born in Turkey in 1967, with its large-format patchwork paintings interprets the sky over cities all over the world, each one of the works representing one of the 24 time zones.

For his pieces of art Dogan Dogan uses fabrics, which his mother had collected over many years, and which by their expressive colourfulness and texture mirror the individual light impressions of the sky. With his works, he demonstrates the possibility to create something entirely new by reuse, recycling and reutilisation of materials.

Dogan Dogan lives and works in Berlin.
